1967 Cutlass Fuel tank leak around sending unit
The best I can tell, my 1967 Cutlass is leaking fuel around the sending unit when the tank is fuel. I am assuming I need to replace the sending unit. Do I have to drop the tank to replace the sending unit?

Usually they leak at the rear rubber vent lines, or the rubber lines going to the sending unit. If it is in fact the sending unit then dropping the tank would be in order.

I just replaced the sending unit on my 67 CS convertible. I did not have to drop the tank to replace the sending unit. It was easy to replace with the tank in place.

Ok. Thanks guys. I will take a closer look and see it's the lines or the unit. Then I will decide what I need to get and make the repair.

But its so much easier to clean and treat the area where there is probably some corrosion with the tank out.
