Sway bar

What size sway bar was used on the 1965 442? Can I upgrade in size to my 1964 Cutlass? Will this increase in bar diameter make the ride more hard? Thanks for all input and suggestions.

The early 442s used a 15/16" front bar. Your stocker is 7/8". Personally I'd go at least 1" (68-72 Vista) or the 1.25" Trans Am WS6 bar. Yes, those will fit. Also, if you don't have a rear bar, that should be your priority. Ride quality will stiffen only slightly, and will likely not even be noticeable.
