Riding high in the rear

I think my Cutlass rides too high in the back. It was this way when I bought it. Some of my peers say it looks great, evokes that classic '60s stance. What's the opinion here?

Its not the best angle for what you are asking. That shot tends to make the back look higher IMO. A shot straight on the side is better for that. That being said, it looks OK to me.

What Ron said but initially I don't think it's too high in the back. An easy check is measure from the ground to the peak of the fender wheel opening, if it's more than 1-1.5" higher in the rear it tends to look to high in back ( assuming the front end "looks" normal).

also there are spacers that fit under the rear spring on the axle, many people use those to easily and quickly lift the rear a preset amount. Take a peek under your car w a good light and see if there is a spacer between the perch and spring that could be removed to change your height.

The chassis service manual gives specific measurements for how high the frame should be off the ground. In my opinion yours looks great where it is, stock they sat too low.

Leave it alone. Nice Cutlass. Perfect ride height. Stock, I always thought they were a little low in the *** and nose.
I like the way your tailpipes are tucked and not prominent. That's the way a Cutlass should look. I think I'm a little lower than you but still higher than stock for sure.
Did you buy your car off a guy in Gates New York?

Looks like the leave it alone crowd wins. Thanks for the opinions. Droidsmorland, the car came from a collector car dealer in NJ.

Looks great! A lot of '68-9s seem to sit too low to my eye.
