Front and Rear spings - 1970 Rallye 350
Looking for a little help with selecting the correct replacement front and rear springs for my non-AC, standard transmission, F85 Rallye 350.
Looking at the assembly manual Section 3 page 90 it list part number 401420 for the front. It also references a spring detail drawing 400860, which I can not seem to find.
For the rear on Section 4 page 90 it list part number 546167 and references spring detail drawing 9787042 which I also can not find.
From reading several post it seems that MOOG 5536 would be a good fit for the front. I am unsure about the back.
Any help with what information is on the 2 drawings would be great. Also, any suggestions for the rear springs. I am looking for as close to the factory stance as possible.
Thanks,

Thanks for the link. I will certainly keep them in mind. I would really like to find something a little more reasonably priced, I just do not know the specs for the original springs and I am assuming the 2 drawings I referenced have that information.

I believe the AMA specs show the spring specs.

Eaton Detroit
X2 on the Eaton Detroit Springs folks! You can go to their website and put in your application: year, model, BB vs SB, AC or not, etc. Then view a chart with options from 2 inches shorter - through OEM application - to 2 inches taller. They hooked me right up. I've always thought the '68 and '69s were a tad too low, so I went with +1" versions front and rear. My ride is going to be SCHWEET when she comes down from the jack-stands

If you know the spring specs, you can cross reference on this chart and order through rockauto which is usually the least expensive or for a bit more your local auto parts store.

Eric.
Thanks for the link.
My current problem is I have no idea what the FE2 Suspension Front and Rear Spring specs should be for a Rallye 350 Post coupe with standard transmission and no AC. When I go to the MOOG site it does pull up several options just not sure what is best.
Thanks again.

Will I think I have made my decision for springs and shocks:
MOOG 5372 springs on the front, and MOOG 5413 springs on the back.
As far as Shocks I think I am going with Bilstein 24131506 on the front and 24009294 on the rear. Hope I am making the right choose.
