thoughts

Can you give a ball park figure as to how much money is needed to complete the restoration at its' current location. That $ plus the asking $ is the cost of the car. Thanks & good luck with the sale.

ps...whatever has caught your eye to pull you from this car must be really something special...care to share or too early?

Cool car- it came from the same dealer as my father's '70 W-30. Blinder wasn't in the habit of stocking performance cars, especially W-Machines. My grandfather was a salesman, then sales manager at that dealership.

Good luck with the sale, it looks like a great car.

I saw this car at Bob Reeve's place in Jackson, MI, CarShine Refinishing and Restorations, in August of last year, 2015. The trunk pan and RR quarter was being replaced due to serious rust issues. The trunk pan came from a rust free donor body. I don't know about the quarter if it came from the same car or was an NOS quarter. Carlos and Bob are "Uber Metal Men" and do excellent work.

The work they did on my original sheet metal, body prep, and paint work is outstanding. They did my 70' F85 W31 back in 2000 and people swear that it looks like it was just painted! Before I left last year I put it on jack stands to clean the underbody/suspension, etc., and I could not find a speck of rust or deterioration of the work they did on the body. So if you buy and let them finish the body you will not be disappointed!

This is a legit car with Fisher docs. I believe he got it from Melbourne, Fla.

BTW Greg: sorry you are not going to finish this car. Also, I rebuilt the carb on the 70' W31 auto you sold to Tim who lives in Mason, MI and I sold him my JO coded turbo 350 from my wrecked 70' W31 F85 auto. So although it has a different VIN # on trans at least he now has the correct code trans. I also gave him a copy of the dealer invoice showing the VIN # on the trans, therefore giving proof it is a JO trans for a W31.

Hi Dave. The trunk needed to be replaced not because of rust, but because the car was rear ended and repaired early in it's life. So we came up with a solution to make it good as new. ~BOB

It obviously needed a resto to correct the poor repairs done after its accident!

Looks like a perfect restoration too me. It would have been a good plan to complete the body before selling but looks like very good work!!

A 6 cylinder car is often sacrificed:-( it's ok:-)

Sorry to see you have to sell this, Greg. I also looked at the car at Bob's when I picked up the hood and doors I bought from you that came off that 50K mile 4 door. I wish I could have met you at that time but maybe we'll meet someday. I can also vouch for the great work that Bob has done to this car. I hope someone purchases it and has it completed by Bob.
