1977 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Brougham Coupe
Hello all, I have been a member of the forum for awhile but am more of a lurker because Mopars are my area of expertise and I have been reading and learning about Oldsmobiles since I purchased this car. I would prefer to sell this car on this forum because it deserves a good home and I want it to be primarily offered to Oldsmobile enthusiasts.
Offered for sale is my 1977 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. The car is a 2 door coupe, with the original 350 4bbl engine and an automatic transmission. It has a medium metallic green exterior with a matching vinyl roof and interior. Overall the car is in spectacular shape. I purchased it from an older man who had bought the car new in 1977 right off the showroom floor and took meticulous care of it. He drove it daily so it accumulated 120,000 miles but it was garaged its entire life. You would never know it has that many miles by driving, looking, and listening to the car. It isn't perfect, but its very close.
On the exterior, the paint is in stunning condition, with the exception of one noticable scratch on the driver's side that is visible from a few feet. There is also a small bubble under the driver's quarter window where water accumulated at the base of the vinyl top over the years. I believe this is a very common issue with these cars. Other than that the only other issues are two of the bumper extensions are cracked up.
The interior is even nicer than the exterior, and the only thing noticable inside is a few cracks in the dash pad and one separation about 3" long on the corner of the passenger front seat. Also I believe the courtesy lamps in the back seat area need replacing.
I am being very particular in this description. Other than the things I have mentioned, this car is perfect. It always warrants praise from people that see it based on its condition.
The nicest part about this car is how well it is maintained mechanically. The car drives like it was brand new, no squeaks, rattles, or knocks. The engine starts up on the first try, and runs like a dream. I HAVE EVERY MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR RECEIPT SINCE THE CAR WAS NEW IN '77.
Since buying the car I replaced the original wire wheels and old tires with new 255/60/15 raised white letter tires and Wheel Vintiques Olds SS1 15x8 rims with olds centercaps. Also, it has a brand new aluminized 2.5" dual exhaust system with dynomax mufflers and a new dual exhaust crossmember. I also put a new grant woodgrain steering wheel in the car with a matching oldsmobile horn button to clean up the looks of the interior.
Obviously, the original rims, hubcaps, and steering wheel come with the car as well.
I'm located here in San Diego, CA, and I'm offering the car for $4000 or best offer. Please PM me with questions or send me an email at dohchemi@yahoo.com.
Thanks!
