I have decided to offer this car for sale as a major project before parting. It has roof damage from rust and a tree fell on the rear section. I have more pics I can email and once it's home can go over the car better. The reasons are this:
1. Low production 1 of 1069 and around 500 were black like this one
2. Numbers matching 70k mile drivetrain
3. Very complete car with original title from 73

It will be home next week but here are some pics for those interested. Price is $2750 or best offer. If you have questions send them by pm or call/text 405-three8eight-five0six1.

What a complete shame!
I hope someone keeps it whole(or in this case hole)
That car will needs 20 grand in restoration and the 73 HO specific parts are worth 500 bucks max.
On my 3rd 73 restoration so Im out but I hope it goes to a good home and gets restored!
Good luck and thanks for trying to save it!
Any chance you could share the vin and cowl info with the 73 Hurst olds registry?

The car has a chance to go to a car buddy who will use a 73 Cutlass as a parts car. I will update later. Regardless the steering wheel stays. Sorry.

Thanks for chiming in Joe, I was waiting to see what your response would be. You sure you couldn't use a 4th?

From the photos, it does appear this car is going to be a costly restoration but considering its pedigree, it would be a shame to part it out if it can be saved.

As Joe Mentioned, the vin and cowl info would be nice to see. Additional photos of the rest of the car would be great, especially the damages.

Definitely keep us posted on your buddy and his plan for the car. If he decides not to tackle this project, maybe someone here could rescue it.

I learned a valueable lesson during Rusty restoration!
Let someone else do the hard work! No more frame off jobs for me till I retire!
Honestly I have more then 25 into mine. I dont think it will ever be sold for that.
It had awesome papperwork Ive become freinds with the only other owner or it would have been parted out...
btw I bought Rusty for 300 bucks and it was a good solid non runner with all original parts and nothing missing.. Beside some metal around the rear quarters...

There are no repops for this car, so everypart has to come from another car somewhere on the planet....

Great points Joe. You've done a great job on Rusty and the amount of knowledge you've acquired from your restorations is invaluable.

On the subject car, we'll have to wait and see the forthcoming updates to get a better gauge on the severity of it's fate.

It would be great to see the Hurst/Olds restored, even if it means using a donor car.

The '73 Cutlass "S", Supreme, 442, and H/O are the best looking A-bodies out of all the new colonnade styles that year from Oldsmobile, Chevrolet, Buick, and Pontiac.

The '73 W-46 Hurst/Olds is one of the unsung hero's from the emission era muscle cars, unlike the 73/74 Pontiac SD-455 which gets all of the accolades.

True enough Anthony.

Since we're discussing things, I have an educational question.

Joe would this car be a less than desirable H/O without any of the appropriate H/O paperwork?

Really cant say what it is without some sort of identification besides stripes and a dual gate. If no paperwork could only hope that the cowl anD vin fall within the H/O decicated timeline.....
Its a crap shoot....

It's been well over a week so what happened with the car? Was it brought home and sold or is it still being offered? I'd like to see a few more photos of it as well as the VIN/Cowl tag info.

Nice to hear it's going to be restored. If possible, let the new Owner know about this site and the 73-77 forum, We'd love to have the new '73 & '74 Owner join us. Surely some of the parts needed to bring these cars back to their glory can be sourced between both sites.

Thanks for the update. Looking forward to trim plate & VIN information.
