Yeah i know guys but i have my own reasons for selling it, not leaving the Olds community by a long shot though dont worry about that one, still got the rallye and the new project . Just finding a more deserving home for her that will put the attention to it that she needs.

Thank you and if i dont get what i feel is a good price for her then i will keep it, simple as that, no need to sell it but i am thinking not only of the Olds community and this car but also the extra money would be nice so i can concentrate on other things . Also with being in the military, moving around 3 cars is a BIT difficult for a single person lol

I think you are doing the right thing. A 69 Hurst Olds is a car that should be restored and preserved.

By the way, Thanks for your service to our country. I appreciate it and I know many others do too.

Go for it!

^^^And that would be a bad thing?
The car would Stiil be a 69 H/O, no matter
how you slice it.

Car 343 and 114? Very cool if you ask me.
And you know the history of both, nice.
Go for driver, and two survive, sorta.

You could always spend several years looking for all the parts. What is the cost going to be after the restoration? I think Mecom just sold a H/O for $100,000. I would love to have one but know that is not going to happen. You guys are the experts on these cars. All my point is that it is interesting timing. I agree with tru-blu in that I don't think it would be a bad thing.

can't call it... there is a car with a non matching engine and another with a complete drive train minus the car either way the car wont number match and it is a lot of cash to restore i would like to see it saved but if the idea is to build it to resell it i dont know how much cash is involved obviously need deep pockets

It would depend on what you could get the car, and the parts lot, for, I would think.

Just an update, there are a couple people that i am talking to right now that are interested in the car, Just going to see what the best deal is for me and go from there. Like Pogo said i would love to see this go to someone who would restore it back to the way it should, but we shall see how the new owner will treat it. But as of right now it is a running, daily driving, if you want, Hurst Olds.

If i were to keep it, I would honestly just not worry about the drivetrain and build it for a cruiser. Do the body work and keep her running. That is just me maybe .

Patience is a virtue, I was about to drop 1500 on an Original OAI hood, before shipping. But found one that was in town for the price of my lightweight hood (cause he was looking for one) and 250 cash. He brought his car over, took the hood and springs from both and traded. Both parties were happy with the deal, especially this guy .

Sucks too that you and camshaw
are 1500 mi. apart.

Good luck with your decision.
I am more than sure it will
be a tough one.

I thought it would be one as well, but then when i realize that there will be no car payment AND i can pay all my bills off. Not to mention i can worry about working on 2 cars instead of 3, Rallye being first since it is the closest one right now... It makes the decision easier
