1972 442 Convertible - Detroit Craigslist
The car is not mine, but sounds like a solid car in need of some TLC.

Does "take it to the next level" mean a tow is needed, or just an extended stay on a lift?
What do you guys think? Would you even contact a seller who didn't provide more pics/info than this? Looks nice from the 2 exterior pics, but I'd think someone would offer a little more if they wanted to get potential buyers to bite to the tone of $14k!

I really hate it when people put unrelated keywords in their ads. This genius put the following:
Right, because somebody looking for a Porsche is going to see this ad come up in his search and think "wow, I coulda had a V8"...
I'm sensitive to this right now because I just did an ebay search for "oldsmobile 350 gaskets" and get a boatload of ads for Chebby, Buick, and Pontiac gaskets where the ad title says "(fits: oldsmobile)". Seriously? My reaction is that I'll never by anything from that seller, even if it really does fit an Olds.
porsche, classic, bmw, hotrod, vintage, convertible, mustang, camaro

Guys,
While the ad is admittedly short on details, I am not sure the guy knows or cares much about the car. I was curious and called. He said that he inherited it from an uncle who was diagnosed with dementia about 7 or 8 years ago. He claims that it runs and drives but needs interior work, and it needs to be gone through from sitting. He claims that it has been stored indoors all of that time, and he just wants to get rid of it.
I have no idea of knowing whether any of that is true, as I did not go to see the car. I passed the info on to someone that was looking for an Olds or Buick convertible.

rgk,
He did not say anything else, and I did not ask. I just passed it on to someone that was possibly interested (who has now decided that he wants a Porsche convertible - no wait - now he wants snowmobiles - Go figure...).
If you or anyone is interested, call the guy. He was friendly and is motivated to sell.
