FFour door sedan with rebuilt 371 ci. four barrel V8 engine and rebuilt automatic transmission.
The re-builder failed to install the left rear oil galley restrictor plug and it would not oil the valves on the left side. This was discovered when the engine was reinstalled with the valve covers off.
No one was able to identify the problem at that time so the car was not driven and sat for a bunch of years.
We recently discovered, thanks to Internet research, the 3/8 hole missing the plug is visible with an inspection mirror by pulling the distributor.
The engine and trans have to be separated to install the restrictor plug.
The under-body and frame are solid.
Engine full of antifreeze, never froze up or locked up.
Power steering, power brakes.
The interior and trunk were sealed up good, no critters.
It's all there, needs restored.
