FS: '72 455/M20 Supreme hardtop basket case
Hi all -
A gem from my extra storage garage.... ; )
1972 V Code Cutlass Supreme hardtop basket case/parts car/rebody donor.
Original 455 / M20 4 speed trans (#s matching drivetrain), non-A/C car. Has the big valve Ga heads used on '72 4 speeds and W-30s. Torker intake, Holley carb which has probably aged into just a core now.
Factory bucket seat/console car; originally Flame Orange with back interior and vinyl top. Framingham built car.
I bought it in December 2009. Engine was supposedly rebuilt before the car was parked around 2000; prior owner said he had it running from a gas can 18 months ago.
Sport mirrors
tilt wheel (housing is missing the thin piece by the tilt level)
nice black non-A/C dash
reverse lockout setup is intact but crusty
Was originally a 3:23 rear, but I can't confirm that it is still or whether it's a posi.
Driver's door with blue VIN sticker is solid. Passenger side door isn't rotten either.
Good glass.
Front bumper core is okay; has front/rear bumper guards.
Buckets and console (which was broken) are gone - not included.
Nice 4 speed hump is there, as are the pedals.
Has an aftermarket Hurst shifter in it, but will include the original shifter as well.
Front disc brake setup.
Clutch was newer and was held in by a 2x4 so it should not be locked up.
LOTS of New Hampshire rust - the body and rear frame are probably not restorable, so I'm coming to peace with the fact that this will likely be parted out or hopefully used as a rebody donor. Hood, decklid, core support are junk.
Would prefer to sell this whole as it sits. Located just south of Pittsburgh, PA. $2150 - at a minimum, you get a lot of cool parts at that price.

Yes it is one of the 77. I ended up selling many of the replaceable components from it last weekend (3:23 posi, shifter, reverse lockout linkage, tilt, etc.) If I ever decide to resurrect it, I'll hunt down these parts again in nicer condition from a western car.
