1972 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser For Sale

1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass Vista Cruiser Woody Wagon. This is a cool beach car and family cruiser with a lot of character. This car has all of the appeal of a classic muscle car combined with the classic character of a woody and the practicality of a family cruiser. I’ve owned the car for a couple of years now and have had a lot of fun with it. It does a great job carrying a surf board and host of family and friends and you can stop at the local cruise night on the way home.

The car spent many years in Florida and underwent a restoration about 5 years ago to freshen up the paint and woodgrain. At the same time new exhaust and brake components were installed. Since then the car has been stored in the winter and comes out on sunny beach days. It leads a pretty pampered life.

Body: Color is Bamboo (light yellow) with woodgrain sides. Paint is about 5 years old and in great shape – straight, and polished. Car was restored about 5 years ago with a full disassembly and repaint. At that time any minor rust issues were taken care of and the body remains in excellent condition. The car is from the south and was originally treated with Ziebart rust proofing when new. Last year I installed a fully restored dual action tailgate. All of the glass is in very good shape. A couple of the Vista windows have some slight de-lamination around the edges. No cracks or leaks.

Interior: Color is brown. Door panels, and rear seat are original and in good shape. Front seat is in good shape and was recovered with the correct color at some point. 6 passenger (no third seat). Carpet is in good shape.

Options: Air conditioning (retrofitted with R134) that blows cold, power seat, power rear window, power front disc brakes, power steering.

Other details: 4 core radiator. 80 amp 1 wire alternator. Dual exhaust. Brakes are fairly new with rebuilt calipers and wheel cylinders. Metal and rubber brake lines were replaced at the time of restoration. Rear end gear ratio is 3.08.

Engine: 350 4 barrel. Edlebrock low-rise dual plane intake with Edlebrock 600 CFM carb. HEI ignition. Dual exhaust. Runs very smooth and clean.

Transmission: TH400 that shifts firm and smooth.

Wheels: Wheel Vintiques SSI 15x7 (front) and 15x8 (rear) with new BF Goodrich radial T/A tires.

Price:= $8,500

The car is located just outside Portsmouth, NH in Southern Maine. Please call Lee at 207-251-0691 for more info.

I'm sorry I don't have any pictures on this computer at the moment. I will post some tonight or tomorrow.

Get a pic by a lighthouse with the ocean in the background and the car is practically sold and on it's way to Texas Lee.

Sure would look nice next to Lady Rob, what would you call her?
I had a few choice female terms for my Vista when I was doing the resto but this is a family site.

That Vista sure looks nice by the ocean Rob.

I can almost smell the sea breezes and fish, my lousy cat warfed up a hairball.

Same color as Lady??

Put a 455 in that bad boy and get a bamboo color car hauler for Lady and you'd be stylin'.

Very similar color for sure - sharp looking wagon! Very nice...
Actually, i prefer a 350 for everyday driving like the wagon would be subjected to.
Something else to think about!!
