1970 442 matching numbers - testing the waters
1970 442 - testing the waters - Car is located on Long Island
Very nice car. All matching numbers, Auto on column. PS/PDB/AC. Motor and transmission have been rebuilt. Receipts available. All stock with Comp 280H cam Trans has shift kit. 3.23 rear has recently installed ltd slip unit. Known ownership history and documentation. Originally from the Dallas area so no rust issues. Paint is two years old base coat clear coat. Original paint in door jambs, inner trunk & under hood. Stripes are paint, not decals. Only rust repair was about a 1"x5" patch in both lower front fenders. Car was taken to bare metal. Photos available. Doors, rockers & quarters original and clean. Floors, frame & trunk are very clean. Thornton hood, repro rear bumper & original sport mirrors added at the time of paint. Interior has been redone & is very clean. Only notable demerits are one button missing from the drivers seat and the headrests showing their age. I have new Legendary covers for those but they haven't been installed. Word done over the last couple years (and maybe 1K miles) include recored high efficiency four row radiator, rebuilt #'s correct Quadrajet, Pertronicx unit in #'s correct distributor with Crane coil, repro wires & full tune up, restoration style exhaust off manifolds from Inline Tube, new starter from a reputable local rebuilder and many other odds and ends. Original hood & rear bumper available as well. Your choice on rims and tires. Original 14" SS1's with repro Firestone Wide Ovals G70-14 or staggered 17's with modern radials.
Please ask any questions & I encourage you to see the car or have someone look at it for you.
Price is $34K OBO, but I need to be close to that price based on the overall quality of the car

It was redone back in the mid 2000's before it was brought to NY and has been garaged ever since. Its in great shape.
Going by photos I have, it looks like the car was repainted in the mid '70's (Texas sun must have burnt the paint I guess) and the top was left off so it lived most its life without it.
