57 Olds Convertible for Sale
After 11years of fun, time to sell my '57 88 Convertible. I purchased this car in Florida in 2008 and have put only about 3,000 miles on it in 11 years. Since moving to Maine several years ago it has been used only on sunny summer days and stored in a climate controlled garage the rest of the time. It is a striking car, in "Banff Blue" with a white top (replaced three years ago) and a blue and cream interior. The car is in excellent shape all around and runs like a top. I will now point out the flaws: Gas gauge works perfectly - in reverse! Full = empty, Empty = full. Have been trying without success to solve this for some time. Original AM radio is in car but inoperative - I upgraded to an AM/FM/CD/Bluetooth setup (in the glovebox) with Custom Autosound speakers on the floor which can be slid under the seat for shows. Windshield washers don't work.
Otherwise, car is great. Paint is excellent and chrome is fabulous. Interior is in great shape with carpet just replaced and upholstery is tip-top. Original 371 engine purrs and transmission shifts flawlessly. I also have a completely refurbished J-2 manifold and carbs to include. They were included when I bought the car, but it runs so well as is that I have never wanted to fix what isn't broken. Rubber is American Classic radials which are in like new shape.
This is a truly beautiful car and you cannot be an introvert if you want to drive it! I am selling because I have the sports car bug and only have room for one car. I paid $63,000 for this car eleven
years ago and needless to say I have put more into it. Asking $49,900...I will also be glad to help arrange shipping. Thanks for reading!
