1970 Delta 88 Convertible for Sale

So, we're moving and I have the unfortunate task of selling off everything that can't fit in the new "modern" garage. This is a beauty. It has 60032 original miles. I recently had the fluids changed and a power steering hose replaced along with the correct size battery and top terminal adapters put back in the car. It runs like a dream and stops well thanks to the front disc brakes. 6 way power bench seat, power windows, power door locks and a power top complete this weekend cruiser.

I'm hoping to get $20,000. Please let me know if this is reasonable and if you know anyone who is interested.

That's definitely a beautiful car!

Thank you for the tools. Since it's all original and original paint, would it be fair to ask closer to $17K? I'm open for suggestions and obviously open to buyers and offers.

I couldn't find a Craigslist ad for your car in NY. Did you post one? Of course, doing that opens you up to alot of SPAM, but you can make it clear that any transactions will take place at the local PD. Many PDs now have safe areas where people can conduct business like that.

Also, I suggest driving the car to a local park to take at least 4 exterior pics (one from each side) and a few interior shots. Good job using MS Paint or another program to blank out your license plate. It's enjoyable to make fun of lazy people that hold their hand in front of the plate when taking those pics.

Thank you! Yes, the fingerprint photos are funny. I have an ad on craigslist, unless it didn't post correctly. I'll check later

Also suggest that you show photos of the trunk and engine compartment. For nearly $20K asking price, there can't be too many photos.

The latest issue of the Old Cars Price Guide lists the value of a '70 Delta 88 convertible with a 350 V-8 in showroom condition at $17,500. At the next level down ("car show" condition), the value shown is $11,250. Add 15 to 20% to these values if the car has a 455.

Regardless of what set as an asking price, you should state what engine the car has.

Looking at the driver side photo , it sure looks like it has been painted on one end or the other.

I'll take some more photos over the weekend. In the doorjambs and under the panels as well.

I didn't notice that before, but you're right. In this photo, it is clear that the left front fender and driver's door are a lighter shade of blue than the rest of the car.
