1971 w 30
Way to much for the condition of the car 10yrs a go 38thousand no sell back then a lot of people with crazy money
Today different scenario.Joe average won't go there Joe money will bid on a complet car for less money
Do the math
$80,000.00 buy car
$10,000.00 taxes shipping etc
$30,000.00 to $40,000.00 body work
$10,000.00 to $15,000.00 chrome and stainless
$7,000.00 to $10,000.00 interior
S6,000.00 to $8,000.00 top and hydraulics
And etc etc etc that is for the person that will do 80% of the work them selves
Just finished a 1971 Stage 1 If I get $75,000.00 CDS I will be happy
This is a major project But I agree it can be saved IMHO

I'm confused Paul, are you saying this $80,000.00 FB market Olds is the one that was parted out? I guess I will quit playing the lottery now.

Paid 38k for that car just to part it? I can't see how that car with be worth more in parts even 10 years ago than the potential restoration of a real '71 W30.
As for the Facebook car, WOW. Just Wow on the asking price. I just don't understand how anyone would spend that much on a car in that condition and clearly I love W30s. I guess with unlimited funds why not. In the end you spend 80k on the car 100k fixing it up and at auction you could possibly get 200 - 300 depending on how much money shows up, or how much liquor gets consumed.
