1971 Cutlass SX Convertible- PRICE LOWERED!!!

We are preparing to down-size. I’m not going to be able to store this car any more. VIN – 342671M204909. Excellent original condition. No after-market parts. Virtually rust-free. Colorado car with clean title. Owned since 1983 – always covered or garaged. Not driven since 1994. Original hood replaced with Ram/air hood with factory original air induction air cleaner lid (air cleaner base not OAI). Convertible top like new. Nice, original white interior. Exterior Paint Code 67. Driver seat electric. Floor shift console. Tilt steering column. Rally pack instrument cluster. Power Steering. Power Brakes. Mechanically original. Dual exhaust. Two spare factory Rally wheels. Original 1971 Oldsmobile factory shop manual.

455-4V CID. Complete rebuild. Crankshaft .010, .010, .060 overbore, 10.5 compression pistons. Rotating components professionally machine-shop balanced. High performance Engle camshaft. Ported and polished G-stamped cylinder heads with new valves and guides. Factory W and Z exhaust manifolds. HEI distributor installed. 400 Turbo Hydromatic. Limited slip differential.

Made a huge mistake when originally posting this car. I'm asking $25,000 or best offer. Buyer pays shipping from Littleton, Colorado. More pictures are available. Please contact me with any questions.

The hood actually looks pretty good on there. It has 72 rocker moulding which also look nice but not correct.

Nice looking car. Is it the original 455? Do you have any original paperwork showing the Y-79 SX option? Thanks.

Terry - No, it is not the original engine. As for the build sheet, I have looked for it but have not located it in the places I've heard they are normally placed - on top of the gas tank & under the rear seats. Have you seen them any other places? I'd sure love to find it!

Possible broadcast card/build sheet locations depend on where it was built. Since yours is a Lansing car, it would only have a broadcast card if anything. Look up under the front buckets and also inside the backs of the buckets in the springs.

Good looking car! When was the repaint done? What rear gear does it have?

The car was painted shortly after I purchased it in 1983. It's factory lacquer. I need to confirm the rear gear - I don't want to tell you the wrong ratio. I'll check & get back with you on that.

If you look closely it also has the stainless eyebrow moldings over the headlights which completes the look and sorta hides the 70 hood a bit. Someone was creative with the look process of the car, including adding the rocker stainless?
