Exclamation 1966 Toronado, All Stock

Hi All,
Old friend of mine who is not in very good health has decided to part with his 66 Toro. I told him I would help in finding it a good home. The wife said I don't have room in this home so..... He is not certain what he wants for it and I was thinking $6500.00, so I will ask this group what is a good price to start?
He is the second owner showing 98,900 miles. Repaint about 10 years ago which is average looking. The interior was also done at that time and shows good. The only filler in the car is the right rear quarter which he confesses was not done very well. The factory cruise is not working. The carb was rebuilt not to long ago. Motor has not been worked on. Runs and drives well.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks,
Don

Sorry for any confusion on the price. The car is for sale at $6500.00. My intent was to list it here and also get feedback from this group.

Additional information:
Tires have 2,000 miles on them. Bumpers and bright work were also redone about 10 years ago. New boots installed on both sides. New exhaust a couple of years ago. Does have a little trans leak when it sits awhile. Floor pans and trunk floor are very good. Minimal rust on the frame.

I will add more pictures of the underside.

Don, please clarify the intent of your post. Are you selling the Toronado for a friend with a price of $6500? Or do you just want to know how much the car is worth? I guess these are sort of the same thing if your friend wants to ultimately sell the Toronado. I was just trying to figure out if I needed to move your thread to a different forum.

Sorry for the confusion, I amended the listing above to clearly state $6500.00

Thanks Don. I think that is a fair price based on the pics. GLWS!

That is a beautiful car. Are those constant velocity joints on the front? I thought the Toro's had Ujoints, like a pickup truck.

From what I gather, CV joints are for on-road power through steering axles, and U joints are still used for part time 4wd due to strength.

Hi Don: Good job with the undercarriage photos. Might be nice to add a side photo of the questionable 1/4 panel close up. Great color outside and inside. Does the a/c work? Power windows, seat work? radio? That sure sounds like a reasonable price. 1966 Toros are getting some attention. LMK: If a week from now you want a free ad in the Olds Club of America's Toronado - Aurora newsletter. Free ad no problem. Regards, Trent in Los Angeles

The Toro has been sold.

Thanks to everyone here for your feedback and thanks to Classic Olds for giving us the opportunity to have this available.
