1967 Delta 88 convertible

Starting bid is $21,995. I think that's a bit optimistic, but the seller is a dealer.

It's not my car, but it's very close!

Here's mine. Not in as quite a nice a shape and not as well optioned (no power windows, no A/C, no cruise control, no dash clock, no cornering lamps. no power windows to name just a few hundred things this car has that mine doesn't), but I'd love to think it's worth anything close to this much.

The ebay listing has another 100+ photos.

I didn't notice that. I was too busy feeling sorry for myself.

Those moldings were standard equipment on all '67 Delta 88's. I'm guessing they were removed when this car was repainted, and I'm assuming it was repainted. They must have been in too poor a shape to re-use. But you would think they could find some from a parts car. The car is a little plain-looking when you know they're missing.

That's a pretty car!

I think yours is nicer with the wheel trim. Plus, wire wheel covers always look sort of dumb IMHO. If you want wire wheels just spend the money and get a set of knock-off rims.

I actually do have a set of wire wheelcovers for the car. Below is a photo showing it with those covers on. I got them at a swap meet some years ago, and, like yours, I believe they're from an '80s Cutlass. I might be interested in your Delmont covers. Can you post a photo of them?

Thanks.

It makes you wonder what happened to the trim on the ebay car. As nice as that car looks, you don't realize how much is missing by the chrome trim not being there until you see one with the trim in place.
