FS - 1965 Olds Cutlass F85 Rocket - 455 CI 400 hp
Well, time to part ways with a fun car. Bought it a few years ago and shipped up from Arizona to work on with my son so it was his daily driver. He has had several years of enjoyment in it ,but is now getting ready to go off to college, and momma wants the parking spot back.
The vehicle is located ~ 20 minutes north of Milwaukee, WI. I am asking $7,900 for the vehicle. We have done a lot of upgrades (listed below) and looked forward to a few additional projects to make it complete but looks like we are out of time. Here are the specifics:
1965 Oldsmobile Cutlass. This is a daily driver and in good condition. We purchased the vehicle (2) yrs ago and the previous owner had just upgraded the engine to a 455 CI (400 HP) engine (Engine Code 396021F). The car originally had a 330.
Comes with original blue paint (some touch up spots and chips), Cragar Chrome Wheels, nice chrome lines on body, Edelbrock 1406 4-barrel Carburetor. We have an additional 1408 4-barrel that we were going to install, but could negotiate including with car sale.
Over the (2) years we:
1) Re-wired the vehicle to original wiring...matching the wiring diagrams from production. I ordered the original gauge and color for each of the wires, and rebuilt the fuse box to align the wires on the side panel.
2) Replaced the head liner, visors
3) Replaced all internal panels front and rear
4) Replaced cooling system (new radiator, water pump)
5) Cutout and welded in new floor. There were several rust spots on the floor of the vehicle, so I ordered new floor pans from OPGI and welded in
6) Replaced carpet
7) New radio (retro 1965 look, but digital) and speakers with new wires
The vehicle is two-door, with power windows.
We never drove the vehicle in WI winters. Always parked in garage at first snowfall and pulled out after first spring rain. There are some spots in the paint of surface rust, but only from a close inspection. All in all body in great shape. Chromes do show slight bubbling, but again...for 52 yrs old, pretty minimal. I have enjoyed getting replacement factory parts from OPGI and doing the rebuilds. Fun project.
I will continue to update listing with answers to questions received.
