I prefer the 70-72 models, but like all the different years for their unique and interesting contributions. Your '73 442 looks sharp, the 'burgundy' color that year looked great on the Supreme and 'S' body styles. Interesting how Oldsmobile incorporated some of the styling cues from the 70-71 models into the '73 442. It was too bad that GM and Chevy executives collaborated to stop John Beltz's aspiration to keep Oldsmobile first with the ready to go 4-valve per cylinder 455 engine and planned 4-valve per cylinder 350 engine. Always amazed how Pontiac kept offering performance at that time with the SD 455 engine in '73 and '74, and later Buick and Chevy, while Oldsmobile was kept behind. Never could understand why Oldsmobile did not install their Aurora engine in a smaller better designed car, maybe as an option upgrade over the Quad-4, while it was the only Division at the time with it's own unique engines.

Is the rebuilt motor a 350 or 455?
