He doesn't have any paper work, just a story he bought it from a closed down auto body shop. It seems strange to me the patch work on the floor. He believes he is sitting on top of a pot of gold.

When I first saw his ad I sent a message asking if he'd sell me the "junk" red liners. Shortly after that he put them up for sale at that price.

ive bought a few cars in primer..and no way would i ever pay retail for another..ive always been disappointed..every single time..primer seems to make it all better, and it just hides a lot

Hasn't this car been discussed here in the last year? We previously raised a question about the repro red inner fenders. He was trying to sell the damaged original red inners separately for big dollars.

I saw this one myself.
1. It's way over priced and it might take the seller a few times listing it before he realizes this fact.
2. I don't like the description "what you see is what you get". It's missing a lot of really hard to come by, as well as expensive, parts.
3. I don't see the bucket seats, tic, tac ,toc or the center console. So I wasn't sure they went with the car.
So I passed on it. And I'd recommend you do the same.

Well, my story is I purchased a 68 Cutlass S two years ago. I paid $3k, it has a 442 engine and trans. Car has very little interior. Engine runs and sounds great. I started from ground up. I replaced all the suspension, paid big bucks for a posi rear end, upgraded steering box, disc brakes. When it came time to start the body, I pulled the windshield and part of the dash board came with it. The floor are pretty decent but I'm finding bits of holes on the rest of the car. I was thinking this would be almost perfect except for his price as I could just transfer all my parts. I forgot to say that when I spoke to him he wouldn't guarantee what was under the primer.

I have a 1968 shell for $500 in Birmingham Alabama.
I'll take all the pictures you need to make an informed decision.
Send me a PM if you're interested
A better option is to buy another 68 from out west for $2000 to $2500.
