I thought I remember seeing the seller wanting about 30k. I hope he is prepared to not get close to that.

I think you are right, I've seen it around before and his ad text indicates he think the value is in that range or higher.

Nice thing about no reserve auctions - they let you know what the real market price is (at least in that moment, with that audience, assuming a real buyer).

Wish all ebay listings were NR, even if they set the opening bid at their true personal reserve optimistic or not - would be a lot more interesting place to visit....

I was trying to get it, but the seller began cancelling bids with 10 minutes to go. Messaged that he sold it locally. Someone bid it to 10k, sniped me with 1s on the clock.

I am just curious, what do you mean the seller began cancelling the bids? I am just trying to understand how this works on ebay because it looks to me like the car sold?

I assume the seller started cancelling bids because he waited too long to cancel the auction. I suspect he was afraid he'd take a serious loss (I was high bidder at 10k for a while). He started cancelling bids, and everyone watching kept bidding it up. The auction ended at a 10k'ish bid, but I'm certain he won't honor it. Yes, it ended saying it was sold.
