What tailpipes? All I saw was wheelie bars.

That car is only worth about 65% of what he's asking. 17,500 for a cutlass s!? Is he nuts. He's well in 442 territory at that price.

That'll sit for a loooong time.

$17500 might get you a 1972 350 442 in that condition but not a BBO car.

Those are ridiculous tail pipes other wise nice car.

Price reads OBO. Got to start somewhere.

I like the tailpipes....this way if the car breaks down you can use them like wheel barrel handles to move the car to the side of the road...

It needs flames coming out of them. You could back it up your drive way in Windsor and melt the ice.

i don't really have an opinion on the price of this car because this vintage isn't my cup of tea but i do know what it costs for body/paint/chrome/interior restoration and if you got one of these projects for free you couldn't restore it for $11,000 so i think your number is low.

that looks like a decent car for a good price but certainly not as good condition.what value would you put on detailing an engine and compartment and trunk or buckets/console interior in black ?nice side exit tail pipes too. i don't disagree that 17,500 is high but i don't think it's that far off.myself i would put the price closer to a reasonable number rather than scare off potential buyers.if i had to guess i think it could be worth around $15k.real condition/value can't be evaluated from ad pics imo

Joffroi:

You just posted a car that I would purchase in a heartbeat. I just don't know how I would get it all the way to the left coast. It would be hard to trust the seller at this point since it is a 72 posted as a 70. Also, it seems I've seen this ad previously.

True. But a 1972 350 cutlass really isn't desirable. They are low comp motors, they are slow and heavy. What sucked back then still sucks now( I can say that, because I own a 72).

You always spend more on a restoration than the car is worth. I agree, the black interior is more desirable, but you could re-skin the seats and nicely SEM paint the dash for $1200-$1400. So to buy the one at $9300 is way more practical.

The 70 year was actually a mistake on my site. Corrected

Nope. It was like 170hp. Or 180hp.

NET HP. Same engine as in 1971 but 71 is rated in gross HP.

That is true. However, even the 71 motors were only 260/265 Gross. Not 310. There's a big difference in the 50+ hp.

So the 310hp listing, regardless of the Gross/Net is still false.
