(2) 1970 442's for sale (not mine)

I stumbled upon these two 1970 442s today for sale. I was hoping he was parting one or both out so I could grab some stuff for my 72. They are both green on green. Both 455 autos. One has the dual gate and one is an in line shifter. He said at least one has A/C and both are power steering/brake cars. One also has cruise. One of them has brackets for an O.A.I hood.

This is as much as I know. I didn't get any closer than where the picture was taken from.

Once again, these are not mine and I'm in no way affiliated with the owner of these cars. I just want someone to save them.

The phone number on the cars was 515-480-0085. His name was Chuck.

Parts vs restore

Two sets of 1970 only sport mirrors are very desired. Both cars look like they needs a ton of $ invested to save

Why do they always have to be parked in the worst possible location for preservation. "Lets see, I've got these muscle cars that will be worth mega-money some day. I think i'll park them under a tree or in a field." (short rant)

He told me that they were in his barn. I will believe him because I drive by there at least once a month and haven't seen them before.

I also always heard rumors over the years that he had an all original 1966 GT 350 stashed away. Sure enough I saw one on Craigslist a while back. I asked about it today and he confirmed it was his but he sold it. He was asking $100,000 when it was posted.

Fix'em

They look like builders from here(my recliner). Or we could just cabbage some parts and build clones!

if they were closer I'd be at his door step.

But for the guy who does show up ready to buy, you need to get up underneath the cars and check em out for rust.
