Arrow For Sale- 1973 442

This is a friend of mine's car and I'm listing it for him because he's not the best with computers.
Recently restored 1973 442 for sale.
Mayan Gold with Brown vinyl top and stripes, and Saddle Tan interior.
Restoration completed in 2008.
2,000 miles since restoration. Mileage on car is under 86,000 miles.
350 c.i. engine, TH-350 automatic transmission, 2.73 posi-traction rear end.
All numbers matching and engine and transmission rebuilt as part of restoration.
Some chrome parts and aluminum intake on engine but all stock parts saved and go with the car.
Options include: Vista vent sunroof (rare!), swivel bucket seats, tilt steering column, air conditioning, sport mirrors, SSIII wheels, clock (works), and rear window defogger.
The car is in Illinois.
He's asking $22,000 o.b.o.

The owner's name is Rich. If anyone is seriously interested in this car send me a PM and I can forward you Rich's contact info.

Thanks.

Nice car. I love those '73-7 colonnades, especially the '73s. You just don't see them around any more, which is curious because they sold a bazillion of them.

I've never seen a factory sunroof like that before -- pretty cool!

GLWS to both of you!

Just an afterthought: some more pictures, particularly of the undercarriage, might help move things along.

Every 1973 Vista Cruiser had that roof as standard equipment. The Vista Vent was optional on the Cutlass & Cutlass Supreme A body 2 door cars.

I believe you could have had the same roof glass on a 70. I remember seeing one a pace car.

Are you sure that it was not added later? Wasn't the debut in 1973?

Really nice 442 and sharp color combination. Looks to be in great condition. Always did like the '73 442, Cutlass 'S', and Supreme. Plus the Hurst/Olds.

The factory Vista-Vent, though smaller, is reminiscent of the aftermarket pop-up sunroofs that where installed in thousands of cars, trucks, and vans in the 70's. A lot of muscle cars had their roof cut for one of these sunroofs.

True. Not being familiar with the Vista-Vent, my first thought was that somebody had cut up the top of that sweet '73 to install one of the pop-up roofs that were ubiquitous in the 1970s. In 1978 it seemed like every other car in the parking lot of my high school sported one these leaky monstrosities.

Vista Vent

Here's a vista vent on a Cutlass I previously owned. Loved that option. Rare to see it on a vinyl top car.
