I didn't see where it said it was a manual. I doubt it is. Don't think it was even offered. I would give him 3k for it and let my daughters bumper car the sh*t out of it.

No manual was offered for those. It was a typo in the add. Just under the two small pictures where it says condition title etc. Just ran with it for fun.

Hemmings suggests between 6 and 11k. Not bad for a car that sold for around 14 or 15k new. These big cars don't command the prices. Seller must believe the paint is actual gold.

I doubt anybody wants a big old car like that for a collectible. They might buy it for a unique driver but you would have to drove a couple of zeros off the price for anybody to be interested. I don't think this will ever be a collectible.

Personally I think for one the tires would be all the way flat and it may be hard to believe it sat for all these years in Chicago without some vandalism. Wouldn't the window sticker still be in it? Even if it survived any mischief it would need every rubber seal replaced and the oil pan would be solid dried oil. I bought a car with 30000 miles on it that was 10 years old. As soon as I started driving it everything went wrong. What a nightmare. Sold it ASAP. Also would be interesting to know why someone would pay storage for all these years. The story is more interesting than the car to me.

Too bad, really... It was a good car in it's day and few coupes were made. I like it a lot, but there's no way it will bring 30K. 6K, perhaps...if you found the right old man. It's surprising to see how fast we advanced....just a decade later in 1994 (Twenty two years ago!), Olds had the Aurora 4L v8 that put out a hundred more horsepower than this 307 with 60 less CID, and delivered better fuel economy to boot.

As pristine as this car is, it really is a relic of an unloved era.

As far as the 80's go the music was great but the cars and fashion were forgettable. I wonder if it will go at all?
I feel the totally over the top price will see it gather a bit more dust.
As an exercise it would be funny to actually work out how far the storage is from the Dealership, bearing in mind the cars are driven around a bit before delivery and they must have taken it home at least once?

at that price for that car my guess is the number was just a number since the seller doesn't know its worth. If someone was to call the seller with true interest im sure a real ballpark number will be thrown out there.

now if it had a diesel i could believe the price!this brings up the auction out here in nebraska a couple yrs ago at an old chevy dealer.it was a small town and he would take trade-ins and take em out to his farm.guess he just wanted to sell new cars.anyway some of the cars he had had less then 2-3 thousand actual miles.BUT they all sat outside.buddy went to the auction and a 65 impala ss396 sold for something like 20k.he said it had no floorboards,and was buried up the the rockers.a car the flintstones would rock.it supposedly had like 20 miles.said people were just stupid with money over these 20 mile cars.

I doubt it has 9 miles on it. If it did the owner should at least take a picture of the odometer... That's the car's strong selling point.

It is unlikely that the seller is lying about the mileage. It is extremely easy to tell the difference between 9 miles and 100,009 miles. On the other hand, people are often clueless as to what info to put in ads. How many times have people advertised engines and not listed a location (yeah, I'll just throw it in the overhead bin)? And how many times have we had to play twenty questions to extract the necessary information when someone asks for help?
