OK guys. Let's see if we can help Bill's
dad out and get the Plymouth going.
We need a carb for an 87 Ply. Grand Fury
318 with a P in the vin. I have no Mopar
parts but hopefully someone out there does.

Hey Bill:
We still need the address. If your Dad wants a phone number, my suggestion to everybody is to put it on a sticky note and stick that to the money you send. 76olds, I see no reason to keep tabs. I am confident we are going to raise enough to help this selfless young Olds enthusiast and his family out. When it is all said and done, Bill can tell us how well we did. Let's make him proud of us.

Also its very admirable what you are doing for your family.
That's being a man and I commend you for that
A lot of young people (not all) these days seem to be self entitled lazy brats so its refreshing to hear and see this

Hey Bill. Keep that damn car! I remember when your friend was selling his 403 Omega and your car as a parts car when he was oversees. I was interested in the 403 Omega but was just too far away. I was glad to see you got the SX and were going to get in on the road instead of it being used for parts or going to the bone or scrap yard.
There are not many Omega owners out there and fewer SX owners. No I don't have a 442 but I feel like I have a special Olds I'm sure you feel the same way. We got our SXs around the same time and you are one of two friends who made a friend request, lol. So I have to help out an Olds/SX friend out. So don't look at it as a donation, I'm sending SX support.
I am a high school teacher so I come across many youths your age and I admire someone who puts family first and I admire you even more for grinding and stretching a dollar to put a car on the road. I had a girl yesterday show me her bank statement for Feb. and she had 18 out of 20 debit transactions on FOOD from restaurants. The other 2 transactions being for getting her taxes done and movie theater. Everything totaled over $400 and she doesn't have a car Sad but that's how many youths are today, don't value a dollar and priorities are jacked.
Like you I bought my first car at 16 (a 89 Chebby Cavalier) and couldn't drive it (needed clutch/trans and I didn't know how to drive a stick) Car sat until I earned $$ to get it running. You are a cool *** 16 year old in my eyes for having your priorities in order and loving Oldsmobiles! Best wishes to you and your family!
If you ever have to part with car, let me know. Just too much of a good story behind your car. I would be glad to give your car to my son with hopes he has the mindset of you when he is 16 years old.

Carb
Does Bill need this carb? I have a complete 17085432 quadrajet 85-87 Dodge (360 I think) but if they could use it I would be happy to donate it. Brett

Hey, Bill,
There's probably not a single one of us here that hasn't been in a similar predicament at one time or another. I know I have. I've had to sell musclecars that I truly loved more times than I care to remember to keep a roof over my head. We know you're not looking for a hand out. We're just offering a hand up. There's a huge difference.
Tried to send you a little something through paypal last night and again this morning, but they are having technical difficulties. I'll keep trying, brother.
May God continue to bless you, Bill, for putting your family ahead of yourself.

I made my small contribution via PayPal. No special thanks needed.
I hope all of us here can get you over the top.
One other thought - if necessary, is there anyone on here near where Bill lives who could buy his car, hold onto it, and then sell it back to him in a few months when things turn around?
Sometimes a little time is all you need.
Best of luck, and let us know how everything goes, Bill!
