IMO the AMX was undervalued and underappreciated by the majority of car buyers in the late 60s and early 70s. That would be a neat car to build for fun. Don't know about AM parts availability, but if the body is really good, it's just a question of planning it out right and then building what you want. Love the color scheme; I believe that's how it would have left the factory.

Very underrated in deed they tore up the trans am racing circuit. http://www.amx-perience.com/TransAmRacing1968.htm That being said parts for these sweet lil buggers will be harder to find than Oldsmobile parts. When AMC started wining the Trans am, Ford and Chevy quit leading to the races demise.
