72 Supreme on CL (not mine)

Looks like a pretty solid deal at 10K

Judging from the engine compartment there may be some rust issues with the frame and floor pans. No pictures there. It's not an original U code car if it has the TH350 transmission.
Noted:
  • POR in trunk is covering something
  • 71 grills and headlight bezels
  • 1970 S on stone shield
  • Aftermarket side mirrors
  • AC compressor missing - likely other parts missing too.
  • Nice that it has 15" wheels
  • Newer WW motor and pump
  • Missing body side moldings and rocker stainless
  • Minimal option car
  • Doors and deck lid appear to be relatively rust free.
Probably a good cruiser. It's presented nicely for the most part.

I wondered about it not being a U code with the TH350. I also just noticed the torque braces are missing, so they're either gone, or it's not an original BB car. Further confirmation for me that at 8K for mine, I got a great deal😀

Dave, if it was a 350/350 car to start with (most likely) it never would have been built with torque braces. No mention either what yr of 455 it is or what heads either. Most people replace the engine, not the transmission. A built TH350 could handle a 455 though.

This transmission has been replaced as it is a dual bolt pattern model. That may be an indicator that it is a rebuild beefed up for the 455.
