Nice looking car - can I buy the headrests?!
Interesting how the documentation notes D35 outside sport mirrors as an option, that is listed as an option on one of mine as well yet according to literature the W30 package included the mirrors.

Olds wasn't always really clear in their descriptions, but they were when it came to charging or not charging for them!
So the bottom line is that a "package" can cost more than the package price when there are mandatory options with the package.

it's a great looking car and I hate to nit pick but why were the front fenders replaced w/ the '71-'72 style? personal preference or just what was avail at the time the car was painted?

The third owner replaced the fenders when he had the car repainted. He said that the minor rust could have been repaired but he wanted new GM metal and was not aware of the difference.

So, this car is also listed on eBay. The current bid is $62,500. Reserve not met.

Good day today, just recently got off the phone with the Original owner : )
Based on the prior info we had we thought he was deceased, but NOT the case.
Owner #3 from Canada saw the W-30 on eBay and contacted us a while back. He identified himself as owner #2, but was actually owner #3. He bought the car from owner #2 with only approx 20,000 miles on the odometer in 1984 for $8,400.00.
He had the foresight to contact the Original owner and ask for additional info and/or documentation.
The Original owner had a picture of the car from when recently purchased as well as the Dealer Shipping Invoice......similar info to a Window Sticker.
The Original owner was a mechanic for the Car dealership where he bought the car and while he did have a Black, White Stripe, White Interior SS 396 Chevelle on order, the GM of the dealership wanted the First '70 W-30 they had received cruising the streets of Oshawa, so he cut the employee a deal in order to induce him to buy the car.
The Original owner said that he hardly ever drove it. Drove his motorcycle to work most days and truck in bad weather.
I asked him if he ever raced it and he said NO, but that he did get on it (literally) once or twice.
Not too often do you get to talk to the original owner of one of these special cars.

Good luck and happy motoring with your "new" car, another outstanding muscle car added to your fine collection - which by the way should have the OLDSMOBILE at the top of your car listing. lol

Based on the recent fraudulent internet listing regarding this W-30, I'll try to clear things up.
Scott Tedro, who purchased the car from us has since decided to move his collection in a different direction. (Cars to be unveiled @ MCACN VII, 2015), so he graciously honored the right of first refusal and sold this W-30 back to us.
I do have the car listed for sale @ $110,000.00 as it is or $95,000.00 without the W-27 rear.

Stefano
So can you clarify who posted the listing yesterday for this exact same car, photos and all?

Listing says car is in Houston. Is that all BS?
