1966 Olds 442 Post 4 speed, very original barn find

I have a 66 Olds 442 Post 4 speed car. it has 77k original miles. It was parked in a barn in Oregon in 1976. It was driven in the barn and shut off. The owner joined the marines and when he got out he bought a Chevelle and left the Olds sit. The car is very original from the correct open element air cleaner, E block 400, B casting heads, with vnumber on head, correct carb, correct radiator, correct M-21 4 speed with correct competition plus with 442 on the shifter, car is a low option car: power steering, heater, am radio, 3:91 positraction rearend, purchased new at Melody Olds in Gladstone Oregon ( a suburb of Portland) Car has the original provincial white paint and torquise bench seat cloth interior. The interior is basically in good shape except for a few minor splits on the drivers side seat back. Carpet and dash are nice. Door panels are good all just needs cleaning. No rust in the rockers, quarters, fenders or doors. Trunk floor has some holes about the size of a pencil from the factory rubber mat holding moisture there. Back glass area has some minor rust. have not taken out the window to see if any goes threw. The area between the back glass and trunk opening is good.
This is a very original car. It has not been started since 1976, I see no point in trying to get a motor that has sat that long to run. It will need rebuilt just from sitting. It still has the original and correct exhaust manifolds. Mufflers were changed to glass packs at some point. Car had the original wire spoke hub caps and there is only two left. They both are not very good.
This car is located at my home in the high desert of central Oregon Redmond, Oregon. You can email or call me for more info. My price is $7000 firm on this car. I have the orignal owners manuals, protector plate and broadcast sheet for this car and it has a clean and clear Oregon title. With the original plates on the car and the original dealer license plate frame.

Sounds like a great neat car with a very fair price. I can't afford it but would love to see pics.

I agree you don't find them this original and rot free anymore. This car deserves a total restoration with no modifications. This is what people bought when they wanted a car that was pure power and quick. It is amazing how these even drove on the crappy tires they had back then.

My bench seat car was a 69 4-speed back in 71. With my GF sitting next to me, for some reason I missed 2nd gear alot! VERY nice car. Good luck.

It is going to a guy on the east coast who is into Oldsmobiles and wants to restore it like it should be done. Not sure where he saw it. I had it listed in a few places. Thanks and great site> I still have the 66 Hardtop so we will see what happend with that.
