Refresh engine compartment

Ok, I have a local car show in about a month. I would like to dress up the engine and under hood. Can you guys give me some tips to do so without having to pull the engine?

They make a "chrome" set which is the valve covers and air cleaner. I would be the reusable valve cover gaskets since messing with those cork gaskets is a PITA.

You'd also be surprised what a wet rag can do. My Alero's engine has a lot of powder coated items so using wax is a BIG no no since the powder coating is "wrinkle" finish, but I do wax the underhood, fenders, header panel, etc, and it comes out pretty nice.

I use "Ice" wax by Turtle Wax on ALL my car stuff. Works awesome on the wheels too
