Are any of you having the same problems with OPGI as I am. I place an order and over half of it is backordered. They tell you that they are shipping the next day, and you find out the actual ship date was 3 or 4 days later. On the positive side, Summit has been great, and a big help.

Treat OPGI as a stalker ex girlfriend/wife and run the opposite direction. They are horrible and with the shipping rates that they have you can practically buy more parts at other places like Summit.

I don't deal with OPGI.
Too many good vendors around to waste my time with these jerks.

I've ordered from opgi before w no issues. Many times you can find another vendor w lower prices, but if you time your buys w their incentives you can usually get a reasonable price

And when they do finally ship it is a bunch of chineseum hardware.

Somehow, I do not think "original" on my Olds means China?

I purchased a 1976/77 hood ornament from OPGI, the shipping costs ended up being more than the part. I would purchase more parts from them (OPGI) however the shipping costs always steer me away.
I have been purchasing everything from Summit, they have went out of their way to get parts for my 76 olds.
I have spoken with the technical sales rep many times, they have been very helpful with getting me the parts I wanted even when they don't stock the part.
Summit has been very good to me with shipping, also ensuring I get the correct part.
Hope this helps,
Eric

Got the stuff

Well, I finally got my stuff from OPGI. It took a long time, but the products were gorgeous. There are some things that you just have to purchase from them, and I guess a little patience helps. On my order, the items were packed very well, and they looked good. I will agree that Summit is a lot easier to deal with, but sometimes.....

Good to hear you parts came in, I myself couldn't complain about the packaging nor the product itself. The hood ornament looked and still looks as good as a factory piece.
I just found that the shipping costs were way to much shipped to Canada.

I have never had any good luck with OPGI. They always take my money, even for parts they don't have and don't know when they will have. They suck!

They have a catch phrase they use when your part isnt right such as, We never had a problem before with them. This is what they used on me when my seat covers did not fit. Then they implied that my seats were not original. They asked if I was the original owner of the car and said if I was not I could not be sure that my seats were not swapped. When my radiator came with a too small lower outlet they again said, We have never had this problem before. I would stay away from them, what they sell can be bought elsewhere for the most part.
