Anyone have original front disc brake calipers?

Just wondering if anyone has original front disc brake calipers? I have never seen any. Do they have the part #'s stamped on them? Same quality as the single piston reman stuff today?

What about the Master Cylinder? Same q's as above. thx

I think I would like to get a pair for my 72 Supreme if I can find any, have them rebuilt, etc.

Ken, I don't know if these are original but here's what came off the 1971 spindles. One is date coded 92 and the other 113. Maybe someone can verify if these numbers would be correct for your 1972 or not. John

The part # for a Cutlass caliper and a Chevelle are the same number 5472161 thus if you go to your local parts store and buy reman calipers they will be original except fot the date code. Semi-loaded about $22CDN + core.

That's a GM replacement caliper part number, not the original one.
I'm pretty sure those calipers that John pictured are the factory originals, 5473497-L and 5473498-R.

Replacement part # may be different but casting number is still the same.
Pic is from cardone.com and you can see the 497 and the L same as in John's pic.
