Sticking Brakes..lights
So I just got my refurbed booster back from Power Brake Exchange in San Jose CA. Very pleased.
i picked up my car (69 442) from my mechanic who installed the booster. I drove it home to discover the brake lights remain on after turning off the car. I have pulled on the pedal to no avail. Before I drive back across town in this Mississippi heat w/o a/c is there something that even this most dangerous mechanic should look at? Thanks.

The brake light switch closes when the pedal is pushed and the pedal arm moves away from the switch. Look under the dash and make sure the switch is connected to its bracket and the wires are connected to the switch. If the switch is just hanging loose, the lights will stay on, or as said above, the switch may need adjusting to bring it closer to the pedal arm.

Thank you again for the counsel. I'll let you know.
To Vintage Chief, I guess I thought the brakes were sticking causing the brake lights to remain on. Sorry if I misled.
I took a picture of the switch but cannot get it to post.
