Rear window trim removal...

While I was working on my 72 Supreme tonight, I noticed a small ding in the chrome trim that runs along the bottom of the rear window. I checked the body service manual, but it's kinda vague. How painful is it to remove the trim and not damage it?

Thanks,
Dave

You need the special tool. They come in different forms, but all work the same. Slide it between the trim and the glass, slide sideways until you hook the clip, then rock the tool to pry the clip away from the lip on the trim to release it. Keep going until you release all the clips.

Good post by Joe.

Be very careful not to rock the tool up and down too much.

You can crack the windshield - ask me how i know.......
