Does anybody know of an easy way to remove the front trim in front of the doors on the rear section of the front fenders on the Cutlass and 442 without removing the fender?

remove the bottom bolts and ineer w/h bolts and then pull it out gently, small hand would probably help also

I just saw this...I am trying to figure out how to remove the same molding on my 1965 98 Convertible

StreetRod on my 64 F-85 doors. There should be a small


screw at each end of the trim inside the door, remove those and the trim will slide off. 65 should be the same?

Different moldings. The moldings I'm talking about are rear of the front wheel,(forward of the door). The molding has 3 posts that go through the sheet metal. Front and back is accessible. Middle one is not.

In my first post, I should have said, "Great and Thanks"...cause that seemed to be the solution. Won't know until I try it this weekend.

and if you do take those bolts out make sure you don't lose the shims and make sure they go back in the same location.
