1966 98 molding clip replacement

I'm going back through my 66 98 convertible exterior moldings polishing stainless steel and replacing molding clips. Many factory nylon clips have been lost or destroyed which makes the moldings loose and /or rattle.

Anyway for the upper (thin) moldings Napa's Balkamp 665-1339 universal clip makes a good replacement. For the lower (thick) Napa's Balkamp 665-3249 makes a good replacement. Both attach with a #10 screw, I used a large flat #10 washer and free spinning lock nuts to secure each one.

There are lots of molding clips on these cars, be prepared to get several bags of each clip to do the whole car.

In each case, I've stuffed the molding with closed cell foam to make the clips sit tight against the molding edge.
