Ram air hood for a 69 442

I have an oppertunity to purchase a aftermarket glass hood.
I was wondering if I could use the center bolt-in portion of
the 71 core support I have and just use my 69 support. They are a
little different, I must say. Looks like I will lose the tab support
for my grills. If I can do this without a lot of hassel, it would be too
cool. I have seen them on the 69's, and they look bad a$$! I do have
a rusty core support for a 72 that might blast up ok. Just looking for
suggestions on how I might proceed. Thanks again guys, Adam.

Is this a 70' OAI hood that you are trying to put on a 69' car?
If so ive heard you need a 70' fiberglass hood with a 69' hood frame under it. Not sure if its either a normal hood frame or the 69' OAI style frame, i supposed either would work.
Im sure others on here could give you more detail on this but from the little ive come to know about it you need a 69' frame and the 70' frame will not work. However, i do believe (dont quote me on this) that Thornton sells 70' style OAI hoods with frames compatible with 69's all done and ready to go

I have seen plenty of cars that are 69 and have the OAI hood, I am sure there is someone who makes it. Cause isnt there also the end of it on how it turns up or something next to the windshield?

It is from a 71. At least that is what he has it on.
I didn't think there was a difference between 70-72.
It is an aftermakert {all glass} anyway. I was looking
at the similar threads below, after I posted the question,
and found the answer. Check the thread posted by Mellow Yellow.
Seems to be an easy fix, short of cutting on the 69 core support.
I thought that the hood pin closed down on the other side, but
apparently they don't. Thanks again for the input guys, Adam.
