quarter panels
ive been looking around on repairing quarter panels and what could be done with mine. three of them have a decent amount of rust. im not trying to build a show car but would like a decent looking body. ive seen a few post on doing it with screen/ filler or something like that. ive tried to search but couldnt find much. would something like that be possible on 2x4 size spots on the bottom of the quarters? i dont think it would work but im sure someone could give some insight.
thanks for the help

If you scroll through my build pics you can get an idea of what I did:

Generally 68-69's rust around the rear 1/4 lip and the 1/4 and the outer wheelhouse both have rust. Inner wheelhouses rust at the bottom. The front fenders rust at the heel. They just started reproducing front fenders. They're about $375 each. Check under the stainless at the base of the windshield. They usually rust there too.

Who is reproducing 1969 fenders? I can't seem to locate any from the usual sources. Thanks, Steven

I don't know if these are just skins or repro quarters, but OPGI is selling them for 305.00 each or 529 for the pair. Have a look .
Parts Place also sells them for 199.00
(1968 - 1969 Cutlass/442) QUARTER PANEL CUTLASS/442 HARDTOP AND CONVERTIBLE 80% (NEEDS TO BE MODIFIED FOR CONVERTIBLE) - LH $199.00
BP1194T (1968 - 1969 Cutlass/442) QUARTER PANEL CUTLASS/442 HARDTOP AND CONVERTIBLE 80% (NEEDS TO BE MODIFIED FOR CONVERTIBLE) - RH $199.00
Fusicks is really clear that their panels are only skins and sell for 279.00 each

Fenders are $499 each plus shipping from BAP, I liked the sound of new fenders @ $375, maybe their pricing has changed recently. OEM fenders from the parts place are $499 as well.

I was wrong on the price (going from memory is never a good thing). Here's a thread about them from someone that's bought a pair:

I would imagine if there's enough interest they will drop to the price of 70-72 repro fenders. I think those are running $350 to $400.

i pondered for a long time...
Before I pulled the triggers on quarters for my 69 vert, do you really believe that there is more than 1 Chinese company spending loot to stamp 69 cutlass quarters? I heard tabco makes them with thicker sheet metal etc but I seriously doubt that there is several companies making quarters for our cars I might Be wrong but I don't think so, anybody know for sure? I do like the look of the fenders but mine I think are very savable. ( last time I looked lol)

Tabco
Guys:
I stopped in at Tabco to pick up rockers for my 66 Cutlass when I was in Cleveland for the Devon Allman concert, the shop boss took me on a small tour of the stamping area, they were pulling full 1/4 skins at the time. It was pretty impressive to see them go from flat sheetmetal to a complete stamping in just a few seconds. They were using plain non coated or primed Automotive grade steel, it felt like it was approx 18 or 20 gauge steel they were forming, looked like a good shop to deal with, but my experience may be different than yours.
Thanks Ron
