need a chrome shop

I'd like to find a good Chrome shop that can straighten and rechrome my front bumper for a '69 Olds Cutlass. I live in SE Kansas. Maybe even the names of some companys NOT to use ? thanks

Good chrome shops are getting harder to find, as the EPA is trying to make things so hard on them - they're closing their doors!
Might be cheaper to find a good used or NOS, as rechroming was $300 up, last I saw!

I got great results from Ogden Chrome in Ogden, Utah. Got the front bumper for my 68 straightened and rechromed for $405 total which included shipping to and from them and I'm in Virginia Beach. You can see pics of my bumper by searching Ogden on this site. They're site is ogdenchrome.com.

You could use Denver Bumper, they just did both ends on my 68 442, I had some issues with them straightening out the front too much...but they made it right and replated it cause they wanted me to be happy with it. I also hear there is a place in Yuma CO that is supposed to be very good with a long waiting period.

thanks, guys . I'll check them out, cause I've been on a 'waiting list' at Brothers for a 'new' (imported) bumper for almost a year

I used Art Brass in Seattle for both my front and rear bumpers and they did an outstanding job. I had a similar issue that Tom442 had - they forgot to fill some holes behind where the license plate goes on my rear bumper - no problem - they re-did it for me without questions.

Too bad you don't have someone nearby - having to ship a bumper can be awkward and expensive.
