Front Bumper Repair or Replace?

Front Bumper Repair or Replace?
I assume this is totally repairable, but for the labor costs would I be better just replacing it?
Or better yet, possibly something I could repair myself? I'm thinking if I could attach some sort of pipe to the bent area I could use leverage to get it back where it belongs. Hmmm...
Rest of the bumper is in nice driver quality, just what I need.

If by "repair" you mean push it back into place so it looks acceptable (but possibly with some noticeable ripples) then the block of wood and sledge will work. Better would be park next to a very large tree and use a Porta-Power or similar device to gradually work it back into place.
If you mean "looking like nothing ever happened" then you need to remove the bumper and send it to a chrome shop to be straightened and rechromed. That's gonna run in the $500 - $600 range.

My 72 front bumper looked like a pretzel wheni got the car, but was in otherwise good driver condition w reasonably good chrome. I took it off the car twice and was able to manipulate it back into a decent acceptable shape. Surprisingly they bend fairly easy, easier than I thought!
