Cowl To Hood Weatherstrip Seal Removal

Does anyone have any tricks to removing the clips that hold down the cowl to hood weatherstrip seal without damaging them? This is for a 1968 Olds Cutlass S.

Used a poly/nylon molding removal tool from Harbor Freight, and was able to pop them out. Only damaged one of the clips.

Just did this and just pulled them and let them break. Menard's has "vinyl nails" that work perfectly to replace them. They are hiddne in the folds out of sight and were super easy to put in.
