70 Cutlass Supreme quarter skins
Hopefully in a few months I'll be at the point of repairing the quarters on my 70 Cutlass Supreme.. I'm asking for anyone's opinion on panel bonding versus butt weld. I'm planning on going about 2 inches from the doors and top of quarters and have mixed emotions on welding I've seen a few cars that especially if they are parked in direct sun show slight imperfections. From what I've researched it's due to the shrinking of the filler in the heat of the sun. My cousin has a 69 roadrunner and I can see it with his. Once in the shade, they look perfect. Have any of you gone the panel bond route and are you happy with the results?

I have panel bonded in the past an have seen a "ghost line" so to speak not everywhere thou. I believe it takes a long time for the glue to gas out. you can't go wrong welding solid. just don't get it to hot. and always use the best fillers. Evercoat is my choice. jmo

I have heard about the "Ghost Line" since doing a little more research. I've been using Evercoat Gold so far as well as using a product from USC, All metal on my weld seams as a base. LOL, next time I have to find a Arizona car that's been stored indoors all it's life
