1969 Olds Delta 88 Paint Code

I'm looking for the factory original paint for this car. I do show a page under the hood on the firewall, what numbers/letters should I be looking for? Thanks

The VIN is 1354679m18027

Look at the trim tag which is under the hood on the driver side cowl. It can tell you some information, like the original interior color, the original lower body color, the original convertible top color, the build date, and possibly some options. It's the tag that looks like:

ST 69 3 5467; followed by LAN, BK, BL, BC or ATL; followed by a series of numbers, followed by BDY

The next line should read:

TR (3-digit number), (2-digit number), (a letter), and then the letters PNT. This is the series of numbers that will tell you the interior color, the original lower body color and the original convertible top color.

The next line should read:

(two numbers followed by a letter). This is the time build code. I'm just guessing by your VIN, but your Delta 88 convertible might be an earlier production car, say September or October of 1968. Just guessing on that, though. Your trim tag will verify the production date.

There might be more numbers/letters after this that may or may not be decodeable.

The best thing to do would be to take a picture of the trim tag and post it here so people can decode it for you. If you are unable to post a picture of it, write it out so folks here can work with it.

There are different publications that help folks decipher the trim tag. For paint codes, they are all available on page 0-20 of the 1969 Olds Chassis Service Manual.

The "59" paint codes is "meadow green," and the "A" code means white vinyl convertible top.

The color is the second from the top in the second column on this chart.

I was completely off on the time build code. 06B means the car was built in June (06), second week of that month (B), 1969. It's actually a later production car. They stopped building them around the third week of July 1969 to gear up for the 1970s.

Breakdown of the ST 69 35467:
ST 69 = style/model year = 1969
3 = GM division = Oldsmobile
54 = model series = Delta 88
67 = body type = convertible

LAN = assembly plant = Lansing MI

419036 BDY = Fisher Body number (has no relationship to your VIN)

The breakdown of your VIN:

35467: same as on your trim tag

9 = model year = 1969

M = assembly plant = Lansing MI

118027 = assembly plant sequence number

I don't have the breakdown of your 317 trim code but I'm sure someone on this site does and will answer up!
