Chrome Plating - anyone know a good place in NJ / NY/ PA or CT

Hi Everyone - I just picked up a 67 Cutlass Convertible sitting in a garage for the past 25 years - Car is solid and clearly going to bring it back to life.
I am trying to find a reputable place to rechrome all of the brightwork and all I am seeing is long turn around; poor packaging etc. Any help is appreciated.

I used Sandy's Bumper Mart in Syracuse NY for my 70 cutlass front bumper and it looks great. Not sure how they do on pot metal and other trim parts, but I was happy with the bumper. They do show chrome and street chrome. I got street chrome on the bumper and it looks perfect to me. Not sure how the show chrome could be significantly better than what I got.

Keystone rustproofing in Arnold Pa. I had some zinc plate done there and it was very nice. Also had some Cad plate done, but it was terrible. While there I was watching some chrome work being done and it was very nice.

Qual Krom in Erie, PA is one of the best. Expensive but worth it. They work magic with busted pot metal emblems, for example.

Bills Chrome, Jeannette, PA. Outstanding quality and guarantees his work for life. Expensive but quality is as good or better than anyone's!

I used Sandys for my bumper too. I wouldn't recommend them for anything except price. They don't triple plate. I lightly backed into something, did no visible damage to the bumper, and the chrome popped around one of the mounting bolts. They do a lot of pot metal but seven years ago when I got my bumpers done the guy that did all that work was about 80 years old. I don't know if they still do it.

AllyOlds - agree on triple plate. Sandy's said that the copper step is only for filling in pits and making it smooth, but he buffs the bare steel to get it smooth, so skips the copper unless it is really pitted. He does Nickel then chrome. Nickel is corrosion resistance and chrome is for shine. However, i was a pest and really wanted the copper step. He said he could do triple plate for an extra $125 as he has the copper tank for doing show chrome and potmetal anyway. So, at least 10 years ago, I could get copper step by asking and paying more - it just wasn't part of the $350 per bumper price he was advertising at the time.

Did great work for me in years past when he was located in the Albany area, I haven't had any chrome work done since he relocated to Hillsdale, but I would use him again if the need arose...
