Side marker light cutouts

Hi everyone,
I have learned from this forum that my '68 Olds 442 convertible likely has factory replacement front fenders since there are no front side marker lights on the car nor any evidence of cutouts for them. My car was restored many years ago and the paint in still beautiful. I will attempt to attach a picture of my 442. Therefore, I have two questions on the cutouts:

Has anyone ever successfully (or known of someone) who has made the cutouts in the front fenders on a painted car? And if so, what factory book can I find the exact size and location of the cutouts?

Also, are there any modifications needed to the inside of the front fender to accept the side marker light housings and brackets?

Thanks,
phil

Its up to you but I think It looks perfect without them. I would not take the chance of chipping paint that you may not be able to match.
