Floor Protection?

Floor Protection?
Just removed old seats and nasty old carpet from my 71 cutlass s. Does anyone have any advice on what to use or apply to the floor to give it some protection and clean it up?

It depends on how much money you want to spend. If the car is a driver, I just clean and wire brush any surface rust and paint with black rustoleum. most likely the car is kept in the garage and the floor should be somewhat protected anyway.
