1970 cowl induction hood cut outs
Hello Oldsmobile friends. I haven't been on here in a while . Hope everybody is cruising, working on or dreaming up great plans for their Olds. I have a question that I know I've seen on here before but can find old thread. I am having my 1970 cowl hood worked on. And I am trying to find good pictures or a reference on how to do cut outs. Can someone please help ? Here are some pics of my car and its current situation. Thank you.

Yours looks great too. The cars are 46 years old - going to be diffenreces here and there anyway. enjoy it.
Every time someone nit-picks my car I offer to take their money and use it to make my car look like they think it should look.

I agree. Yours look fine and the quality control on the factory hoods wasn't particularly good anyway.
FYI, a cowl induction hood opens at the BACK of the hood, over the cowl, like a Camaro or Chevelle. They are designed to draw air from the high pressure area at the base of the windshield, not the front of the hood.

Yes I think enjoying the car is something I looked forward to. It's been so long I've been trying to make this dream happen. Bought the car in 1999, just wanted to take that ride down the coast highway 1, with my son. He was just born then, now he is 17. Time flys! Still going to take that ride with him! Hopefully soon.....
